If you are a first-quarter student, the amount to be refunded will be based on how many weeks in the quarter you attended. Your refund will be based on the following percentages and the week of your withdrawal.

If you are a continuing student, your refund will be based on when you withdraw within the quarter. Generally you will receive 100% if you withdraw within the first seven days of the quarter and 50% if you withdraw between the 8th and 30th day of the quarter (8th and 21st day for summer quarter). Your refund may be greater based on your withdrawal date and the following chart:

The refund of University charges will be credited to your aid programs in the following order up to the amount you received for that quarter: Federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford/Ford Loan, Federal Direct Subsidized Stafford/Ford Loan, Federal Direct Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students, Federal Perkins Loan, Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, other Title IV aid programs, Washington State Need Grant, institutional aid, private scholarships. If any refund remains after crediting these accounts, the balance will be refunded to you.
Please be aware that if you withdraw from all classes within the first 30 days of the quarter (first three weeks of summer quarter), you may owe immediate repayment of aid you received (except Direct Loans which are payable according to the terms of the promissory note).
