Before You Register as a New Student

Confirming your Enrollment

As a new student, to be eligible to register for classes you must have submitted the following information.
  • Undergraduate Students - Your Enrollment Confirmation Form and the $250 New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee (NSEOF)
  • Graduates and Professional Students - Your $100 Enrollment Confirmation Deposit
  • All Students - Measles Immunity Verification Form.
As soon as these forms are processed, you will receive a acknowledgement of your registration confirmation. As a new student, you will be assigned an advising date. This will be the first date you are eligible to register. If you do not receive confirmation, please call First Year Programs at 206-543-4905.

Student Access to MyUW

  1. UW NetID
  2. - Before you can register for classes, you must have already established a UW NetID. If you have not done this already, you may create one now!

  3. Private Access Code (PAC) - To create a UW NetID, you will need your Private Access Code (PAC). Upon receipt of your New Student Enrollment and Orientation Fee or Enrollment Confirmation Deposit, you are mailed a card titled University of Washington Registration Notice. Your initial PAC is included on this card.
  4. Registration Date - In addition to the PAC, the University of Washington Registration Notice includes your registration date. New freshmen and transfer students may not register before the date posted on this card.
  5. Immunization - All matriculated students, and all students living in University of Washington residence halls or single-student apartments, are required to provide proof of measles (rubeola) immunity. The Immunization Web page provides additional information and has a downloadable Measles Immunity Verification form.
If you have met the registration criteria above, proceed to "How to Register".
