All enrolled matriculated students, and all students living in University of Washington residence halls or single-student apartments, are required to provide proof of measles (rubeola) immunity. Students born before January 1, 1957 are considered to be immune to measles and therefore DO NOT need to submit proof of immunity.
Students will not be allowed to register for any classes until they have satisfied the UW Measles Requirement.
Hall Health Primary Care Center (HHPCC) oversees the UW Measles Requirement Program for the Office of the Registrar.
In the event of a measles outbreak on the campus, students who have not previously submitted proof of immunity to measles will be barred from classes, living groups, and other campus activities until health officials determine that there is no risk of them transmitting the disease to others.
