Child Care Assistance Program and the Student Parent Resource Center

If you have children age 12 or younger who will need child care during the academic year, you may be eligible for child care assistance offered through the University's Student Parent Resource Center. This program will help pay costs at any state licensed or certified facility in the Puget Sound area. Available is a list of licensed day care providers currently being used by UW students.

Applications for the 2010-11 school year will be available in February 2010. To be considered ontime, your application for child care must be submitted by May 28, 2010. In addition to the application form, you must also submit your 2010-11 FAFSA.

Although the deadline for applying for child care assistance for the 2009-10 academic year has passed, if you are in need of assistance, you may pick up an application in 172 Schmitz. If you qualify, your name will be placed on a waiting list in case additional funds become available.

Additional information about child care, including application forms, are available from the Student Parent Resource Center, Room 172 Schmitz Hall (206-543-1041).
