Introduces the process and techniques of fiction writing. Readings familiarize students with various writing styles and strategies of other writers. Students discuss craft, the assigned readings, and share work with other class members. Recommended: at least one writing/literature course.
Class description
This class will introduce students to the process and techniques of fiction writing. Class readings will make students familiar with various writing styles and provide examples of the successes and strategies of other writers. Student will share work with other class members inside and outside of class. Class time will be spent discussing the writer's craft, the assigned readings, and student writing.
