Generic study of Spanish fiction. Prerequisite: either SPAN 301, SPAN 302, SPAN 303, 310, SPAN 314, SPAN 315, SPAN 316, or SPAN 330.
Class description
The course will focus on FOOD AND LITERATURE IN A CULTURAL CONTEXT. The course will survey the writing and appreciation of the role of food in the processes of identity formation, nation building; as well as gender roles and ethnic difference in Hispanic Literature. Prerequisite: either SPAN 301, SPAN 302, SPAN 303, 310, SPAN 314, SPAN 315, SPAN 316, or SPAN 330.
