Chemical Dependency: Assessment and Treatment

Provides students the knowledge and basic skills needed to recognize and understand the dynamics of chemical dependency in the lives of individuals. Students learn how to assess the presence of this disorder and what the issues are in referring individuals to treatment.

Class description

This is an introduction to substance use disorders, their basis, diagnosis, symptoms and treatment issues.
