Russian Literature of the Nineteenth Century

Survey of nineteenth-century Russian poetry and prose. Representative works of Russia's major and minor authors, literary trends, and genres.

Class description

Please see the description for Russ 322. Slavic graduate students enrolled in Russ 522 are expected to read all texts in Russian. Other graduate students can read the texts in English. All graduate students write a 15-20 pp research paper instead of the final.
