Class description
Description: This course is intended to expose students to many of the problems and issues of American foreign policy. It explores theoretical approaches to America’s strategic choices and foreign policy making. The main objective of this course is to provide students with a theoretical and historical basis for analyzing and understanding the continuity and change of American foreign policy.

Texts: 4 required books and other reading materials placed on the electronic reserve.
Class assignments and grading
Assignments: Class participation, completion of assigned readings, reading of the New York Times, and completion of two midterms and final examination will constitute the major assignments for this class.
Grading: Exams: 70 %; Class/quiz participation: 30 %.
