Time Schedule:
Boris B. Blinov
PHYS 576
Seattle Campus
Class description
Experimental implementation of qubits and quantum communication systems.
Student learning goals
General method of instruction
Each class will be a mock-up Quantum Information Workshop session, starting with an introduction by the session chair, followed by several talks by the attendees, and ending with an open floor discussion, complete with coffee breaks.
Recommended preparation
Some linear combination of backgrounds in quantum optics, condensed matter physics, and quantum information theory will be helpful.
Class assignments and grading
Prepare and deiver to the class one 30 to 45-minute presentation on a selected topic (qubit implementations, recent experimental advances, etc.)
