Philosophy of Kant

Systematic study of The Critique of Pure Reason.

Class description

Kant's Critique of Pure Reason is one of the most influential texts in the European tradition. It is notoriously difficult, but also tremendously exciting. In this course, we will read the Critique as well as highlights from recent secondary literature. TEXTS: Required: "Immanuel Kant, Critique of Pure Reason", Paul Guyer and Allen Wood (eds.), Cambridge University Press. Recommended: Paul Guyer (ed.), "The Cambridge Companion to Kant's Critique of Pure Reason", Cambridge University Press.
