Study of several major Aristotelian treatises.
Class description
This course will concentrate on Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics, although we will also dip into the Politics, De Anima, the Rhetoric and the Poetics. Students will be asked to write two papers and take a final exam. Prerequisite: One of the 300-level ancient philosophy courses. Text: Basic Works of Aristotle, McKeon
