Class description
This course is intended to cover the chemical engineering unit operations which are of particular relevance to the pulp and paper industry. Topics include fluid dynamics and pumping requirements of fiber suspensions, psychrometrics and cooling tower operations, pulp washing operations, analysis of multiple-effect evaporators, and combustion effects in the Kraft recovery cycle.
