Class description
This is a special course offered in Ankara Turkey for students with expertise in Ottoman Turkish and an interest in the editing, transcription, and analysis of original Ottoman texts. The instruction will be done by Stacy Waters from CARTAH and will cover web tools, technology, and theory for the preservation, access, and study of Ottoman texts developed by the Ottoman Texts Archive Project.

Minimal lecture. Hands-on work with compter-based web tools. Afternoon lectures by noted Turkish scholars

Previous work with Ottoman texts.

The production of of sample texts.
