Renaissance Field Course

Topics in the cultural, political, and social history of the Renaissance era.

Class description

Graduate course on Renaissance Italy; readings on central issues in political, social and cultural history of Florence, Venice, Rome by recent historians.

Class assignments and grading

Readings: approx one book per week & articles; in-class reports on assigned readings; one short paper and one longer paper.
