Class description
This class will help you to understand the role of corporations and their effect on business, government and society. We'll examine the use of business power, corporate social responsibility and ethical principles. We'll look at how corporations affect and are affected by regulations, the market and the global economy. In addition, we'll cover the role of business in politics. This course will help you improve your critcial and analytical writing and speaking skills. You will learn to apply your knowledge of business, government and society to current issues, which should help you become better business managers, entrepreneurs, citizens and consumers.

General method of instruction
Lecture, small-group discussion and completion of group projects. Quizses on videos and articles to be downloaded from Blackboard. Grades based on group activities, quizzes, peer evaluations, one mid-term exam on the text and lecture material; six video quizzes and one final exam.
