Phonology I

Speech sounds, mechanism of their production, and structuring of sounds in languages; generative view of phonology; autosegmental and metrical phonology. Prerequisite: LING 450.

Class description

Winter - 2001 Speech sounds, mechanism of their production, and structuring of sounds in language. Prerequisite: L200, L201, L203 or ANTH 203 or L400, either of which may be taken concurrently with L451.
