Survey of Linguistic Method and Theory

Examines major linguistic theories in phonology, syntax and semantics; linguistic analysis and argumentation. Not available for credit to students who have completed LING 200.

Class description

Summer 2000 --- Introduction to the major disciplines of linguistics: syntax, semantics, phonology, and morphology. Intended for students who plan to pursue further linguistic or language-related study. Required text: Farmer, Ann and Demers, Richard A., A Linguistics Workbook .
