Class description
Practicing and Teaching Modern World History
One of the newest fields in history is world history. This class will focus on how world historians conceptualize, research, study and teach their subject/object in the United States and elsewhere, paying special attention to its intellectual assumptions, theoretical and methodological frameworks, and historiographical genealogy. The class is also aimed at providing students a basic understanding of world history, its scholarly and pedagogical concerns and emphases.
