Tutoring and teaching experiences in a primary school setting (grades K-3). Placements made according to participant's interest and needs. Participation on a predetermined schedule plus scheduled orientation and debriefing sessions.
Class description
The course will connect Zesbaugh Scholars to one another, facilitate thoughtful reflection on schooling, teaching and education, and support scholars throughout the year.
Student learning goals
1. Understand and commit to completing Zesbaugh Scholars Program expectations.
2. Underdstand current issues and trends impacting education.
3. Engage in thoughtful reflection on your contribution to the teaching progession.
4. Present scholarly research or project.
General method of instruction
The course is a seminar and will include small and large group instruction and interaction.
Recommended preparation
Students must be of junior or senior standing within the university.

Grading is Pass/Fail The assignments are TBD
Grades will be determined by classroom participation, completion of assignments, presentation of scholarly research or project, and adherence to Zesbaugh Scholars requirements.
