Seminar in American History: Western

Class description

This is the second half of a 2-quarter research seminar on the North American West. Students in HSTAA 513-514 undertake individualized research projects in the history of western North America. Emphasis is placed on historical research and writing.

Graduate standing and enrollment in HSTAA 513 during the preceding quarter.

Class assignments and grading

Class Assignments and Grading Early and final drafts of research paper; critiques of one another's drafts. Grades are based primarily (but not exclusively) on the final paper.
