Class description
This Special Topics class is a new course called "Geographies of Difference".
The geographical focus of the course is a comparison of the U.S. and Canada within a global context. The course explores the geographies of socially constructed categories of difference (especially ‘race’/ethnicity, gender, class, sexuality, disabilities, and national identities).

A mixture of lectures, class discussion, student presentations and fieldwork
Recommended preparation
Social science background. Must not be attempted by freshmen nor sophomores.
