Class description
This course will focus on familiarizing students with the university campus and community, with an emphasis on exploring resources uniquely available at the UW and in the Social Sciences. Students should leave the class with a broad understanding of opportunities available at the university, the functioning of a research institution and how university processes coincide with and help to achieve individual student goals, along with the ability to access these opportunities both online and on campus.

This class is intended for transfer students and open to a variety of Social Science majors.
Class assignments and grading
We will explore the university through class discussions, weekly reflection assignments to be submitted electronically, and various assignments aimed at increasing student familiarity with the university and its surrounding community.
