Introduces students to various aspects of the University of Washington community. Includes exploration of university resources and opportunities, and academically related skill development. Credit/no credit only. Offered: A.

Class description

We will be exploring different multicultural social and diversity issues through discussions and activities. This is also a good introduction to UW class where students will be able to get to know a small group of their peers well, in this otherwise huge university.

General method of instruction

This is not a lecture class. We will be utilizing group discussions and activities.

Recommended preparation

Be prepared to participate in class and do the homework.

Class assignments and grading

Class attendance, participation, and homework. There will be no quizzes or exams involved in this class!
