Class description

Student learning goals

Students are expected to complete their knowledge of basic grammar, vocabulary enrichment, practicing oral speech and to develop their previously acquired reading, listening comprehension and speaking and writing abilities.

General method of instruction

There will be reading material, the students will discuss the reading material in the class and they will be asked to produce relevant written texts.

Recommended preparation

Students should do at least one hour of concentrated reading exercise and half an hour vocabulary reading. They will also need a systematic weekly review of certain chapter of the textbook.

Class assignments and grading

There will be weekly composition assignments, journal and reading assignments, and exercises in the textbooks.

The final grade will be based on: class participation, weekly homework, tests and the final exams.
