Writing papers communicating information and opinion to develop accurate, competent, and effective expression.
Class description
This class will focus on developing writing skills, critical analysis, and active reading skills. The focus of the course will be on local and regional issues of environmental and social justice. Readings will include eco-critical, historical and literary texts dealing with the environment and american culture. Students will write in various genres (editorial article, professional letter, academic argumentative paper, etc.) in regard to an Environmental Justice issue of their choice.
