Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering

Contemporary topics at the advanced undergraduate elective level. Faculty presents advanced elective topics not included in the established curriculum.

Class description

An introduction to the major contemporary subfields of electrical engineering and professional development skills essential to succeeding as an electrical engineer in the modern workplace. Facult and Industry guest speakers provide modern insight into applicaitons of electrical engineering. Professional development topics include understanding the meaning and impact of economic globalization, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and purpose to align with individual career goals, and identifying individual learning and personality styles.

Weekly written reflections and short exercises on the class topics, readings, and guest lectures.
