Class description
Students learn about the history of the field of school psychology and about current practices in the field.

General method of instruction
A seminar format is used in which students discuss required readings. The instructor also lectures to supplement the readings.
Recommended preparation
Any graduate student admitted to the school psychology program should have the necessary preparation.
Class assignments and grading
Students read assigned material, complete problem-solving cases in class, write a take-home exam, and shadow practicing school psychologists in local schools.
Participation in class and completion of written assignments.
