Introduction to the design of computer-assisted-instructional programs. Types of learning, characteristics of effective instruction. Students design and produce CAI programs using authoring systems for computers. Offered: jointly with T C 436.
Class description
The purpose of this course is to introduce you to the principles of good instruction and have you apply those principles in computer-based learning projects. During the quarter we will be focusing on designing and creating eLearning programs using Macromedia Flash 8.

Each class session will consist of a lecture and "lab" time to learn how to create eLearning using Macromedia Flash 8, and time for you to work on exercises and your project later in the quarter.
