Projects in Acting

Rehearsal and classroom performance of dramatic literature of various periods and styles.

Class description

Basic vocal production for the theatre, including alignment, breath, vibrations, resonance and range. A series of vocal exercises designed to free the voice will then be applied to speaking text in the context of your acting. Class will be a combination of group, partner and individual work.

Recommended preparation

The IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) course with Scott Hafso would be a great companion class to this one. Students will perform text in the chosen dialects, as well.
