Introduction to Dance

Introduction to dance as an art form. Lectures in dance appreciation. Studio experience in ballet or modern dance techniques, may include experience in both techniques. Attendance required at outside events. Prerequisite: DANCE 101.

Class description

This course is an introduction to dance as an art form. Consisting of studio based technique and composition training and class room based lectures in dance appreciation. Dance 102 prepares students for higher level technique and composition classes in the UW Dance Program and has Dance 101 as a prerequisite.
