Class description
This course will focus on the informatics tools, processes and challenges associated with the emerging field of translational informatics. Presentations will range across the following areas:
* How general purpose systems can address the needs of clinical and laboratory investigators * Challenges faced by investigators in integrating clinical translational data * Discussion of broad translational data integration initiatives * Systems and approaches to facilitating scientific collaboration
The audience will include Informatics, Computer Science, and Information Science graduate students and faculty, interested clinical translational researchers and staff involved in research Information Technology.
