Advanced Croatian/Serbian

Continuation of 401, 402, 403; reinforces basic grasp of language and enlarges both vocabulary and command of grammatical patterns through the reading of contemporary short stories both Croatian and Serbian. Prerequisite: 2.0 in CR SB 403. Offered: A.

Class Description

During this course you will review your knowledge of basic BCS morphology and syntax, by focusing on the four language skills, namely speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You will further familiarize yourself with Balkan cultures even more and increase your ability to use effective strategies for language learning and communication. In addition to all this, you will expend your knowledge of BCS syntax, morphology, and lexicology, which should enable you to communicate in BCS on an advanced level.
