Writing in Comparative Literature

Comparative approach to literature and a workshop in writing comparative papers in English. Emphasis on cross-cultural comparison of literary works. Readings in English with an option to read selected texts in the original languages Offered: AWSp.

Student learning goals

Our goal is to learn how to write clear and well constructed critical essays to various works of literature and film. We will learn how to articulate our thoughts into concise and coherent arguments, and support them with persuasive evidences. We will also learn how to review and edit the writing of others, and learn how to revise our own writing into a polished product.
