Course Details
CEE 500 is scheduled to meet Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:20 p.m., in More 234. Typical the class will meet on Tuesdays; however, it may be necessary to have some Thursday meetings towards the end of the quarter.
Course Description
The class is intended to provide an opportunity for students to learn about new developments in structural engineering. As such, students will give a 20 minute presentation on their on-going research activities or work with another student to review the results of recent research activities by others and give a 30 minute presentation of these activities. Towards the end of the quarter, student presentations will be supplemented by presentations by practicing engineers and visiting researchers.
Course Requirements
A passing grade requires making a presentation to the class and missing no more than one scheduled class session.

Two weeks in advance of your talk, please e-mail me an abstract for your talk.
If you are giving a presentation on a new topic, please discuss your proposed topic with me well in advance of your talk.
