Special topics in civil engineering offered as course with lecture and/or laboratory. Maximum of 6 credits in combination of 498 and 499 may be applied toward an undergraduate degree.

Class description

The principles and methods used for bioremediation of hazardous waste. Microbiological principles, Design of in situ and bioreactor bioremediation of fuel spills, chlorinated solvents, PCBs, PAHs, munitions compounds, and metals. Phytoremediation.
