Biology Internship Program

Coordinated internship in a biology-related field. Registration restricted to students already matched with an internship opportunity in BIOL 390 or by instructor approval. Students must complete at least a combined 10 credits in BIOL 399 over consecutive quarters. Credit/no credit only. Prerequisite: BIOL 390. Offered: AWSpS.

Class description

Students will pursue an internship in an off-campus biology-related organization. Students meet several times over the course of the internship with the instructor and the other interns to discuss their experiences.

Recommended preparation

Biol 390 or identification of an internship opportunity that has been determined to be acceptable for credit by the faculty internship coordinator

Class assignments and grading

Successful completion of all requirements of the internship including evaluation by a supervisor and writing a critical review of research in a related area
