Advanced Astronomy Seminar

Practical exercises in astrophysics. Emphasis on methods and techniques of simulation, acquisition, evaluation, and analysis of observational data and its interpretation using models of astrophysical systems. Prerequisite: permission of instructor.

Class description

This is the Astrobiology Seminar Series. This series features outside guest speakers covering topics in the field of astrobiology, the study of life in the universe. Topics covered this quarter range from the formation of habitable planets, through the chemical origins of life, to the possibility of life under the surface of Europa.
