Appreciation of Architecture I

Historical survey of the architecture of Western civilization. For nonmajors.

Class description

Introduction to the world of architecture, through comparative study of exemplary and interesting examples selected from around the world, with the recurring theme of South Asian architecture and civilization.

Learn to appreciate architecture.

Learn about world civilizations.

Highly illustrated lectures using PowerPoint and Google Earth.
