Explores perspectives on educational policy and practice.

Class description

This course explores the connections between democracy, education, and citizenship, and ultimately examines questions of how and why societies should educate students for democratic citizenship. In this course we will examine the role diversity and dissent play in citizenship education globally and in the United States.
