Freshman Interest Group

Provides a range of educational experiences that are able to move both within and beyond the traditional classroom. Experiences include options such as participation in undergraduate research, community engagement, and on-campus groups organized around themes of common interest.

Class description

We will explore, and create, different forms of mapping our lives, paying attention to the areas of vocational futures, educational trajectories, relationships, and the concepts of map-making.

General method of instruction

Discussion, map-making, analysis of texts and images, online research, and research practice.

Discovery Core I and II, curiosity

Participation at a high level of engagement
