Available volunteer shifts are:

Wednesday, May 15th and Thursday, May 16th, before the Symposium:

Material Preparation
Packing snack bags and readying materials for the Symposium Day

Time Options:

  • Wednesday - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm or 1:00 - 3:00 pm
  • Thursday - 10:00am - 12:00 pm or 12:00 - 2:00 pm

Pre-Event Setup
Setup easels, tables, etc. in preparation for the Big Day!

Time:

  • Thursday - 3:00 - 6:00pm

The day of the Symposium, Friday, May 17th:

General Assistants
Greeters, Poster Setup, Traffic Directors, Food and Beverage Station Attendants, Registration Support, Signage

Time Options:

  • 8:00 - 10:00 am
  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • 12:00 - 3:00 pm
  • 3:00 - 6:00 pm

Oral Presentation Session Assistants!
Note: Session Assistant Volunteers must be willing to attend a brief training prior to the Symposium.
Take a fun, important and active role in assisting Oral Presenters and Faculty Moderators with technical equipment, keeping time, etc. for oral presentations.

Times:

  • 12:45 - 2:45 pm or 3:15 - 5:15 pm

Registration
By Invitation Only: Registration Volunteers must be invited by URP staff to sign-up and train for registration shifts.
Assistance in Registering all presenters of the Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Time Options:

  • 7:45 - 9:45 am
  • 9:45 - 11:45 am
  • 11:45 am - 1:15 pm

Tear Down
Clean up and tear down event

Time:

  • 5:45 - 7:00 pm
