Summer 2014 | *Thursday, August 21st from 2:30 – 5:00pm: Amgen Scholars and HHMI EXROP student Oral Presentations in 171, 284 & 288 MGH*
The Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Exceptional Research Opportunities Program (EXROP) provides talented undergraduates with outstanding summer research experiences that encourage them to pursue careers in academic science. The students are selected to apply by HHMI professors and invited directors of HHMI-funded undergraduate programs at colleges and universities. EXROP students also attend meetings at HHMI headquarters where they present their research in a poster session, network with their peers and HHMI scientists, and hear from scientific researchers from various backgrounds and stages in their careers.
Since 2011, the UW Undergraduate Research Program is pleased to co-host these exceptional undergraduate researchers and to have EXROP Students join UW Amgen Scholars in program activities and events.
