The Amgen Scholars Program

The 2014 Amgen Scholars Program Application is now live. All application materials need to be completed and SUBMITTED by Monday, February 3, 2014.

To apply for the 2014 UW Amgen Scholars Program, you must complete the online application, and submit all required application materials detailed below.

Instructions for Applicants

  1. Complete the 2014 Online Application at: https://expo.uw.edu/expo/apply/310.
    NOTE: You can begin the application, review application components, and return to complete it at anytime before the February 3, 2014 deadline at 11:59 pm PST.

    The online application includes:
    • Personal Information
    • Faculty Recommender Information
    • Statement of Purpose
    • Personal Statement (Optional)
    • Project Preferences
    • Resume or Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) Upload
    • Unofficial Transcript Upload
    • Demographic Information (Optional)
    • Student Affidavit
  2. NOTE: The online application is most compatible with the Mozilla Firefox browser. It is recommended that you DO NOT use Internet Explorer.

  3. Ensure that all the REQUIRED application materials are submitted and received by the deadline to complete your application.

Required Application Materials include:

  • Submitted Online Application (including .pdf version of your unofficial transcript)
  • One Letter of Recommendation from a Faculty Member familiar with your coursework or prior research experience.
    Your Recommender will receive an email message from the UW Amgen Scholars Program requesting his or her letter after you submit your Faculty Recommender contact information in the online application. We encourage you to discuss your request for a letter of recommendation with the faculty member as early as possible and prior to providing your recommender's contact information in the online application system.
