To apply for the 2012 UW Amgen Scholars Program, you must complete the online application, and submit all required application materials detailed below.

Please follow these application instructions:

Instructions for Applicants

1. Complete the 2012 Online Application at: https://expo.uw.edu/expo/apply/244.
   NOTE: You can begin the application, review application components, and return to complete it at anytime before the February 1st, 2012 deadline at 11:59 pm PST.
   
   The online application includes:
   • Personal Information
   • Faculty Recommender Information
   • Statement of Purpose
   • Personal Statement (Optional)
   • Project Preferences
   • Resume or Curriculum Vitae (C.V.) Upload
   • Unofficial Transcript (Optional) Upload
     NOTE: You must submit An Official Copy of your most recent Transcript (see required materials below).
   • Demographic Information (Optional)
   • Student Affidavit

NOTE: The online application is most compatible with the Mozilla Firefox browser. It is recommended that you DO NOT use Internet Explorer.

2. Ensure that all the REQUIRED application materials are submitted and received by the deadline to complete your application.

Required Application Materials include:

• Submitted Online Application
• An Official Copy of your most recent Transcript(s) mailed in a sealed envelope from your institution or via email to uwamgen@uw.edu from your institution if your institution provides electronic official transcripts.
• One Letter of Recommendation from a Faculty Member familiar with your coursework or prior research experience.
  Your Recommender will receive an email message from the UW Amgen Scholars Program requesting his or her letter after you submit your Faculty Recommender contact information in the online application. We encourage you to discuss your request for a letter of recommendation with the faculty member as early as possible and prior to providing your recommender's contact information in the online application system.
