2. Waivers for
GSSA's That Begin Later
Than 6/16/06
If the student's waiver
does not disburse automatically
when he/she is registered
and the appointment has
been entered in OPUS, it
may be necessary to send
an email requesting a manual
entry of the waiver to Student
Fiscal Services.
3. Enrollment
Requirements for Graduate
Appointments
The UW enrollment requirement
to hold a graduate student
service appointment for
summer quarter is two (2)
credits. This requirement
is also in effect for graduate
fellowships and traineeships
paid through the UW payroll
system, unless the funding
agency stipulates a higher
enrollment.
4. International Students Enrollment Requirements, courtesy
of ISO:
If a student has been full-time
for three (3) consecutive
quarters, he/she is eligible
for a "vacation quarter"
and may either register
for as few credits as they
like or not register at
all, but then they must
be registered full-time
again in the following quarter.
International students
receive an automated message
through MyUW each quarter
telling them to register
for at least ten (10) credits.
The message may be ignored
in the SUMMER quarter (unless
the student has not been
full-time in the previous
three (3) quarters.
If students receive this
message in any quarter other
than summer, they must come
to the ISO office. Summer
quarter is the only exception.
Unfortunately, the message
cannot be turned off for
summer.
For further questions, contact the UW's
International Students Office (ISO).
