As more resources become available on the web, fewer and fewer program announcements will be available in hard copy. To receive email notices of new funding opportunities, follow the links below and subscribe as instructed.

Email Alert Services - Federal

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA):
CFDA is a government-wide compendium of federal programs and activities that provide financial assistance to a variety of recipients. The catalog is updated twice a year by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and published by the Government Printing Office (GPO).

Federal Business Opportunities:
FedBizOpps.gov is the single government point-of-entry (GPE) for Federal government procurement opportunities over $25,000. Government buyers are able to publicize their business opportunities by posting information directly to FedBizOpps via the Internet.

Grants.gov Email Alerts

NASA Research Opportunities
Beginning March 1, 1998, NASA is no longer providing program announcements by hard copy as it has in the past to research institutions. NASA now instead offers a new web-based, email-based alert system to allow researchers to subscribe to this system in order to receive information via email concerning program announcements, updated information, publications and upcoming events at NASA.

NIH Guide for Grants and Contracts
NIH Guide by hard copy is no longer available. Researchers can subscribe to the NIH Notification LISTSERV service to receive the NIH Guide Table of Contents Notification LISTSERV service, and then using the embedded URLs to access Guide articles.

NSF Customer News Service
A new feature of the NSF web page which will provide electronic dissemination to NSF customers up-to-date information, publications, and program announcements. NSF Customer News Service requires users to subscribe to this system, set up individual research profiles, select the type of information requested, research interest areas, and designate how the information should be sent to the user, either by email alert or by visiting the user custom news web page.

COS Funding Opportunities
: Community of Science (COS) is a service by subscription, and therefore available to the UW research community. The COS database contains information from federal and regional governments, foundations, professional societies, associations, and corporations.

Foundation Center: The Foundation Center maintains a database on over 70,000 grant makers and more than 339,000 grants.

GrantsNet: Service providing Funding Opportunities for Training in the Biological and Medical Sciences.

Michigan State University: The grants databases at MSU focus primarily on funding for nonprofit organizations.
