This section provides categorization information about the application. If you are unsure of how to answer any of these questions, please consult with the Principal Investigator or local administrator.

Fields

This table lists all the fields on the Project Details section of the Application Details screen of the eGC1.

Project Type
Grant
Identifies the application with a non-contractual award. 
Contract
Identifies the application funding mechanism as a contractual arrangement. 
 
The eGC1 should not be used for processing gifts. See Gift Processing for information on this topic.
Funding Type
Research: Basic
Funding will be primarily for the use of research activities.
Research: Applied
Funding will be primarily for the use of research activities that investigate practical application.
Training: Research
Funding will be primarily used for the training of students under special sponsor programs identified as such.
Training: Other
 
Fellowship: Undergraduate
Funding for the use of an individual for research or educational purposes.
Fellowship: Graduate/Professional
Funding for the use of an individual for research or educational purposes.
Construction
Funding for use of capital projects.
Equipment
Funding for the purchase of equipment.
Conference/Workshop

Clinical Trial

IPA/Staff Assignment
Mechanism to provide salary and benefits (only) with affliate organizations (i.e., VA, Childrens' Medical Center, FHCRC)

Miscellaneous/Other

 
International Projects

Answer "yes" to this question if any portion of this project is conducted internationally. For example, projects that are funded by foreign sponsors, that involve subcontracting to foreign institutions, that involve field work outside theU.S., and/or are focused on interational, cross-cultural research. This list is neither exhaustive nor exclusive.
