Assign Access

General Information

If you have Owner permission on this eGC1, you may give access to other people.

Click on the "Look Up & Add Row" button on the Assign Access screen to go to the Personnel Chooser.

Search by name, Employee Identification Number (EID) or UWNetID for the person you want to add.

Select the permission type, "read-write" or "read-only", for this person from the pull-down menu.

Click "Select" to add this person to the access list and return to the Assign Access screen.

Fields

This table lists all the fields on the Assign Access screen of the eGC1.

Field Name	Description	More Info
Name	The name of all persons with direct access to this eGC1. In addition, once an eGC1 starts the routing process then all reviewers listed on the approval graph also have access (via role-based access).
Permission Type	The permission level selected for this individual (owner, read-write or read-only). Four roles are automatically given access when their names are listed on the eGC1 - creator, principal investigator, administrative contact and budget contact (these are "owners" of the eGC1). If these data fields on the eGC1 are modified, then the permissions will be updated. Owners may give access to other people using the Assign Access functionality.	Access Permissions
