  • NIH Announces Transition to Adobe Forms from PureEdge Posted on October 7, 2008 at 11:51am

    Most electronic submissions to NIH on or after January 1, 2009, must use Adobe application forms. 

    The following Notice provides the Transition Schedule for NIH/AHRQ/CDC/NIOSH/FDA from PureEdge to Adobe-based grant application forms for electronic submissions of SF424 Research and Related (R&R) applications. Please note the importance of this schedule, as Grants.gov will not accept PureEdge applications after the transition dates noted in the announcement linked below.

  • ORIS Team Moves to UW Tower Posted on September 11, 2008 at 2:58pm

    The entire ORIS team is now co-located in the UW Tower, bringing together folks who were previously located on several floors in Gerberding Hall and at the 45th Street Plaza building. We quickly settled into our new space and are back to work planning, developing, and supporting the SAGE Suite of online tools.

  • New Advance Budget Request Form is a Success! Posted on September 11, 2008 at 2:52pm

    Feedback was gathered from GCA, OSP, the SAGE Help Desk and a campus survey to determine the effectiveness of the new Advance Budget Request form. Thirty-six people responded to the survey. Survey says …

    • >85% of users surveyed are very satisfied or satisfied with the new format
    • Pre-population of data from the eGC1
    • No difficulties with the new process
    • Improved turn-around time for processing

    Phase II of the Advance Budget Request form will include a number of enhancements including:

    • Create a new eGC1 or Create a new ABR using a drop-down from the top black navigation bar
    • Re-order the left navigation links (Complete will be listed above Print)
    • Printable ABR will display in larger font for easier reading
    • The PI and Org Code data will be editable

     

  • Announcing SERA - the new web system for GCA Posted on June 13, 2008 at 11:23am

    SERA joins SAGE & SPAERC in providing post-award functionality for electronic research administration. Together these systems provide a strong foundation for further improvements intended to make it easier to effectively and efficiently manage research at the UW.

    • June 08 - Advance Budget Number request created in SAGE & accessed by GCA in SERA
    • Winter 09 - Automated hand-off of eNEA from OSP to GCA
    • Future - Automation of additional post-award processes
  • OSP Moving to the UW Tower - Effective June 20th Posted on June 4, 2008 at 1:47pm

    The University of Washington Office of Sponsored Programs will be moving to the 16th and 17th floor of the UW Tower!

    The office will be closed in the afternoon of Friday, June 20th and Monday morning, June 23rd.
